Spokane Summer of Soccer 2026

Spokane is an Official SeattleFWC26 Fan Zone and we’re looking forward to hosting watch parties for the FIFA World Cup Summer 2026! Ready up for live events, watch parties, matches around the city, and more ways for fans to experience soccer. We’ll be working with STA, SeattleFWC26, and other partners to give away prizes and amazing experiences all summer long.

This summer, fans can look forward to watching matches alongside other soccer supporters right in the heart of downtown Spokane. Nine communities around the State of Washington have been selected as official SeattleFWC26 Fan Zones to bring global excitement to visitors and locals in communities all around the Evergreen State.

We are honored to host Team Egypt as they prepare for their FWC26 matches in Seattle. The city of Spokane has so much to offer visitors from all over the globe and can’t wait to showcase our community spirit this summer! "Being selected as both a host city to Team Egypt and a designated SeattleFWC26 Fan Zone are incredible honors. We want to make the most of this moment,” Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown said. "The Summer of Soccer is about bringing people together and celebrating sport, culture and community pride.”

Collaborating with our partners at Spokane Sports, Spokane Transit Authority, and the City of Spokane, we’ll be cheering on the action all summer long with multiple official Fan Zone Watch Parties at Gesa Pavilion in Riverfront Park, as well as activating our local business community to host watch parties of their own all around the city for local fans and visitors alike to come together and cheer.

STA will add routes and more soccer-themed experiences to its rides to support fan engagement throughout the city.

We’re thrilled to bring the global energy of FWC26 to our community with official watch parties and merchandise. We can’t wait for you to join the celebration. For more information about SeattleFWC26 and fanzones around Washington State, keep reading below!

Team Egypt in Spokane

Spokane was selected as the host city for Team Egypt as they prepare for their upcoming FWC26 matches in the Pacific Northwest. Team Egypt plays in Seattle against Belgium on June 15 and faces Iran on June 26th, with a match against New Zealand in Vancouver BC in between. Africa’s oldest national football team is making their fourth appearance in the FIFA World Cup. Led by captains Mohamed Salah, Trézéguet, Mohamed El Shenawy, Omar Marmoush and Ramy Rabia, Egypt qualified for the 2026 World Cup by winning 8 of their 10 matches while giving up just two goals and have high hopes to make it out of the Group Stage for the first time since 1934. The team was spotted around downtown Spokane at Riverfront Park, where they posed for a photo with Mayor Lisa Brown after shopping at River Park Square and held a practice with public access at Gonzaga University’s Luger Field on June 10th.
