Discovery Spokane Wineries

Spokane's wine scene is focused in the urban core of downtown Spokane and features fifteen award-winning wineries within walking distance of one another. Better yet, it’s in the midst of our shopping, dining, and entertainment districts where you’ll find Broadway plays, James Beard-recognized chefs, farm-to-fork culinary experiences, four-star hotels, and the roaring Spokane River Falls in beautiful Riverfront Park.

The District also features two additional wine-tasting clusters. A short drive to the northeast, you’ll find the Green Bluff Cluster and, just minutes east of downtown, the Spokane Valley Cluster, both featuring award-winning wineries. The maps help get you exactly what you want.

Downtown Spokane Wineries

Downtown Spokane is the city’s wine epicenter. If you're in the mood for the complete winery experience, be sure to check out Barrister Winery. The Barrister barrel room is situated under the train trestle for the BNSF Railroad, and this proximity to the railroad tracks contributes to the wine-making process as trains rumble by. While Barrister wine is aged for one and a half to four years, the vibrations from each passing train assist in settling the solids in each barrel—creating uniquely “train-settled” wine. Now that’s some good vibrations and excellent libations.

Kendall Yards is home to Maryhill Winery Tasting Room, which offers patrons a world-class wine tasting experience they won’t soon forget. Tasting flights are available for a small fee, and then you can choose a glass or bottle to enjoy on their patio. Sip their incredible wines with a coveted view of the Spokane River and Downtown Spokane; it's a local favorite.

Spokane Valley Wineries

Downtown Spokane isn’t the only area offering unique wine tasting experiences. Spokane Valley provides a place to explore the world of Washington wine in a countryside setting. Arbor Crest’s Historic Cliff House offers beautiful panoramic views of the Spokane Valley. Royal N. Riblet designed and built the estate in 1924. Today, Arbor Crest holds its Summer Concert Series at the Historic Cliff House wine-tastings yearly with music genres ranging from rock and country to blues and jazz. Plus, winter visitors should add Arbor Crest’s Fireside music series to their entertainment plans to enjoy live musical acts paired with food options and great wine.

Latah Creek Wine Cellars is another great wine establishment in Spokane Valley. This family-owned wine cellar has been serving its patrons award-winning wine since 1982. For a local fave, try a glass and perhaps take home a bottle of Huckleberry d’Latah.
