Visit Spokane's Commitment to Social Inclusion
We believe that equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) are essential to fostering a welcoming environment for everyone. We are committed to celebrating and representing the diverse communities and cultures that enrich our region. We strive to ensure that our organization, our services, and our partnerships reflect these values, providing equal opportunities and access for all visitors, residents, and team members.
Our initiatives are guided by the understanding that everyone’s experiences and backgrounds contribute uniquely to the cultural fabric of our destination. We actively seek to engage with underrepresented groups and amplify voices from across our communities. Through collaboration with local organizations, advocacy, and transparent practices, we aim to dismantle barriers and cultivate spaces where all feel seen, heard, and valued.
At Visit Spokane, we see you, and we’re committed to making our destination welcoming for all.
In Spokane we all Belong.
Creating a sense of belonging requires a set of values and practices that ensures no persons are left out of representative government, and more broadly means ensuring that all members of Spokane's diverse community have a meaningful voice and the opportunity to participate in the design of political, social, and cultural structures. The City of Spokane has a new city motto "In Spokane we all belong." Click here to learn more about equity commitments at the city level. Visit Spokane is proud to partner with the city on the Tourism Arts & Cultural Investment Committee.
Mission Aligned Non-Profit Support
Each year since 2022, Visit Spokane has chosen a mission-aligned non-profit to support with intentional promotion. The organization must be tied to hospitality through events, activations, or other activities thereby aligning with Visit Spokane’s mission to increase visitation to the Spokane region. We are proud to support organizations that serve the community and support diversity.
