Spokane Jewish Film Festival 2025
Jan 25th to Feb 2nd
Spokane Area Jewish Family Services is thrilled to present the 21st annual Spokane Jewish Film Festival! SJFF 2025 will take place Jan. 25-26 and Feb. 1-2 in person and online Jan. 26-Feb. 1. The festival will include several premieres, including the Washington premiere of Michael Winterbottom’s gripping historical romance Shoshana, the Pacific Northwest premieres of the short films Just the Tip and We Should Eat, and the West Coast premiere of the made-in-Spokane documentary Carla the Rescuer, about the celebrated local Holocaust survivor Carla Peperzak, her heroic efforts as a member of the Dutch resistance during WWII, and her work as a Holocaust educator that she continues today at the age of 101. Mrs. Peperzak will share introductory remarks just before the opening night (Jan. 25) screening. Each in-person Saturday night screening (Jan. 25 and Feb. 1) will be preceded by a catered reception with appetizers from Saranac Public House (included in the ticket price) and wine and beer (cash bar) from the Magic Lantern Theatre, where all in-person events will take place.
Since 2004, SJFF has showcased international films that share Jewish life and culture with the community. The festival enhances the cultural life of both the local Jewish community and our region as a whole. But it’s much more than just a cultural event: Festival proceeds directly support the human services work of SAJFS. The agency uplifts seniors, low-income households, and people with disabilities through advocacy, consultations, resource referrals, home visits, rent and utility assistance, transportation services, a caregiver support group, fall-prevention classes, our food bank, our medical lending closet, and more.
TICKET PRICES: Tickets for in-person screenings: $15 General Admission; $10 Students & Seniors Tickets for online screenings (per household): $15 GA; $10 S&S Festival passes (grant access to all in-person and online films and events): $70 GA; $50 S&S
