Guests begin their nightmare with a UTV ride up old Moonshine Trail to the thrilling Dark Canyons section of Mica Moon. Anxious anticipation of fear creeps in. Bravely, you await. Your first zip? Appropriately called, "The Point of No Return," this line flies you hundreds of feet ABOVE tree tops into the darkness. Frightened, yet excited, you walk timidly over a sky-bridge to "Bootleg" -- a zip in a section of the canyon where Bootleggers would rather shoot you than let you survive to snitch their location. Then you're off to one of the longest zips in the United States, "Big Mama." Nearly ⅔ of a mile long, this dark beauty is not for the faint of heart. Your senses heighten as you feel alone in the dark as you step off the platform into a deep unknown. A full minute ride awaits with wind rushing past you in the cool, crisp night. Beware as you enter the dark corridor. As you finish, you look back into the black and feel a sort of accomplishment -- but you can't figure out this strange feeling inside you. It's the feeling of "escape." You made it out of the Dark Canyons of your nightmares. Dress for winter weather. See you there if you dare!
