“Variety is the spice of life”, says Lloyd and Janet Thorson, and they have a wide variety of fruit and produce to prove it. Their 20-acre orchard contains cherries, apricots, peaches, pears, apples, grapes, and a wide variety of vegetables. Janet’s interest in nutrition and Lloyd’s love of growing things led them to direct marketing on Five Mile Prairie 30 years ago. Convinced that high quality and flavorful produce could be offered to families right at the farm, a move to Green Bluff in 1986 with its like-minded community was the next step.
