Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes
Since 1881, The Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes has been in downtown Spokane serving the spiritual and material needs of the community. As the Mother Church of the Catholic Diocese of Spokane, the Cathedral serves as the house for the Bishop’s chair which symbolizes his pastoral care and governance of the Diocese.
We are a vibrant family of faith seeking to make a positive contribution to our community. We offer a comprehensive education/formation program for youth from toddlers to teens in our Youth Recreation Center located in O’Connor Hall. One central aspect of the mission of the Cathedral is to operate an outreach program to those who are homeless, unemployed, or otherwise struggling. We spend over $100,000 each year on a feeding program for the homeless, STA transportation passes, medical assistance, housing aid and employment training.
