PNQ Week Itinerary
Welcome to Spokane, where the Pacific Northwest Qualifier is about to rock your world harder than a sudden spike to the face. We are excited to welcome you into our vibrant city! Full of things to do, sites to explore, and ideal restaurants for team dinners or a pre-match meal.
Breakfast and coffee shops for a pre-match meal
Saranac Commons
Go to a place that has it all! Walk to the Saranac Commons on Main Street, where you will find an adorable coffee shop and a gluten-free/vegan bakery inside. Boots Bakery & Lounge, described as a mellow and funky cafe, is full of savory and sweet options for every dietary restriction for breakfast and lunch. Within a few feet, you will find Hatch Beaker + Burr, perfect for craft lattes, drip coffee, and tea lovers.
Cafe Coco
Also near the Convention Center is a new and charming cafe, Coco. Indulge in a scrumptious selection of scratch-made pastries, quiche, soup, bread, or biscuits and jam. Grab and go, or relax in the beautifully decorated environment.
Pro tip: Right next to Cafe Coco, you will find Main Market Co-Op Grocery and Deli, where you can plan ahead with snacks and sandwiches and grab-and-go burrito bowls.
Franks Diner
Don’t have a match until the afternoon? Start your day by having a sit-down breakfast in a train car (that’s right - a train car) at Frank's Diner. Carb up with their orange cranberry french toast, or get your protein with one of their many omelets. Franks Diner is one of Spokane's most popular places to eat breakfast, so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to get a table.
Liberty Lake
Have a match at the Hub? Swing by Liberty Lake Juice Company and choose from various refreshing smoothies. Try their Almond Butter or Hummus Toast as the perfect pre-match fuel!
Explore Spokane In Between or after Matches
River Park Square
Keep your legs loose by hitting the shops at River Park Square. Stroll through crowd favorites like Nordstrom, The Lego Store, and Sephora. Check out From Here for a Spokane souvenir or locally-made jewelry and apparel. Need some new gear? Stop in the Nike Store or lululemon. And hey, if you buy more than you planned, just tell yourself it’s well-deserved for that impossible dig you pulled out of nowhere.
Riverfront Spokane
Right outside of River Park Square, you can experience the great outdoors right in our urban core. View the country’s largest urban waterfalls in Huntington Park, or pop on the Numerica Sky Ride gondolas for a view that'll make you feel on top of the world. And don't forget to feed the Garbage Goat because every town needs a quirky mascot, right?
Flatstick Pub
Keep the competitive spirit going by challenging your teammate or family member in mini-golf at Flatstick Pub! You’ll play through 9 holes while you venture into a world of art, Spokane staples like Doomsday Hill, and even a 2-headed unicorn. Hungry? Flatstick has food for the whole family. From pizza to salad and with a large local craft beer selection, people of all ages can find something to help recuperate.
Liberty Lake
Liberty Lake Regional Park
Still have some energy left? Stroll lakeside or sit on the beach in Liberty Lake Regional Park. If you’re brave enough - your team might even take a spring polar plunge (brrrrrrrr).
Spokane Valley Mall
Just an 8-minute drive West of the Hub Sports Center, you’ll find the Spokane Valley Mall. Like any good mall, you will find incredible pretzels, a movie theater (Regal Spokane Valley), and shopping galore.
Places To Eat
The Onion Bar and Grill
Located near the convention center, this historic Spokane classic is known for its onion rings, gourmet burgers, an array of local craft beers, and giant desserts.
Wonder Market
Wonder Market is an artisan food hall home to Victory Burger, Uno Mas Taco Shop, and Victory Bar and Coffee. Grab a bite to go or stick around and watch a game on our big-screen TVs while playing a little ping-pong or cornhole.
Bark, A Rescue Pub
BARK guests can interact with rescue cats and dogs who live in a separate but accessible area from the restaurant before, during, or after their dining experience. When you eat at BARK, you will experience elevated pub food such as burgers, “pretzel bones,” soups, and salads.
The Scoop
Win or lose, ice cream makes it better. Treat yourself to a scoop (or three) of The Scoop’s delicious flavors. Remember, calories don't count when you're in training mode—or at least that's what we keep telling ourselves. Taste unique flavors and try one of their famous bubble waffle cones!
Liberty Lake
Trailbreaker Cidery & Eatery
The state-of-the-art cidery features spacious indoor seating and comfort food that will hit the spot after a long day of volleyball. Try their Cougar Gold Grilled Cheese, a variety of wraps and salads, or share baskets of fries and tots with the table.
